Twenty six is going to be a GREAT year, I can feel it. Unlike other birthdays, I am excited about this new chapter in my life. My next big birthday will be thirty, and that's OK. This year I'm going to pass my CPA. I'm not going to be sick anymore, unlike about 10 months of this past year. I'm going to spend more time with my husband. I'm going to bike to work on Tuesdays and fill my new wicker bicycle basket with fresh fruit from the farmer's market. I'm going to meet a new nephew, and several of my friends' babies. I'm going to run a half marathon, and really be able to run it because I'm not going to be sick for 6 weeks of the training.
Yes, turning twenty six is going to be a great thing.
We celebrated Saturday night at Blush, and I'm very blessed to have so many friends.

Josh came up from Anaheim for the weekend and decided to take the later train back to spend more time with me. Yipee!! :) We had a nice lazy Sunday at the beach.
Hayden stole the show at the beach, as always. He just had such a good time playing with his truck...

... that he passed out under the umbrella. Look at him stealing the show!

Last night, on my actual birthday, I went to dinner with some friends. They are such great friends and TOTALLY made me uncomfortable by going around the table saying nice things about me. Really, I was majorly uncomfortable. I am not only extremely, extremely blessed to have such wonderful friends, but also to feel known. Tear.
My birthday is NEVER complete without a Baskin Robbins Mint Chip ice cream cake! Holy goodness!!!

I almost forgot to add in the classic Sue-Megan email exchange.
Mom: 26 years ago you came into my life around 3pm east coast time:) Love you. Happy Birthday.
Me: thanks MOM. I bet it hurt too :)
Mom: You don't remember that part. I was so thrilled you were a girl, since I was expecting a boy. In those day we didn't know ahead of time. That's why you guys wore lots of yellow (good for both)
Mom, I'm not sure you know this, but you are hillllarious sometimes.
